What is the CFA?
The Communauté Francophone Accueillante (CFA) in Nanaimo is an initiative supported by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and led by the Association des Francophones de Nanaimo (AFN). Its mission is to create a warm, inclusive, and friendly environment for French-speaking newcomers by facilitating their social, cultural, and economic integration.
Since its designation in August 2024, Nanaimo has established itself as a dynamic hub for Francophones in British Columbia, offering French speakers an ideal setting to settle, connect, and thrive within the community.
