A close-knit French-speaking community
The Welcoming Francophone Community of Nanaimo, a project led by the Association des Francophones de Nanaimo, offers a variety of activities throughout the year to meet people, converse in French, and get involved in local life:
- Friendly gatherings to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere.
- A wide variety of workshops and activities to discover and share our Francophone cultures.
- Outings to discover Nanaimo and get to know the region.
- Community events open to everyone.
- Themed gatherings for newcomers: employment, housing, daily life, etc.
These activities are opportunities to make friends, practice French, and actively participate in the French-speaking community in Nanaimo.
